In the early morning fog, a guard tower stands in silent vigil over, the Tent City of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
I shot this in the early morning hours of New Year’s eve morning, in a rare fog that added dampness to the otherwise dry tents.
Tent City, particularly in this area, is usually noisy with the male inmates’ conversations. But on this morning, the chill and the fog hid everything in a moist blanket; all the sounds, and the sights. It burned off pretty quickly as the sun rose.
